Blading or skulling chip shots can be so frustrating! It goes hand in hand with chunking them too. Either way you are bottoming out in your arc too soon and then swinging up by time you get to the ball. For some players it's a fat shot and for others it's thin.
There are many things that can cause this from flipping the wrists to falling back with your weight through the shot. In your case I'd like you to work on getting your weight on your front foot and getting used to hitting down on the ball. Try these drills:

These drills will train you to hit down on your chips so that they pop back up in the air with some spin. They will also teach you to have your weight forward at impact. Give them a try and let me know how it goes.
