Arm Your Club Drill


Description: The Arm Your Club Drill can help if you are inconsistent with your chip shots and have a tough time controlling the release of the club, which can result in fat or thin shots.

Summary:
  1. Take your wedge and choke down far enough on the shaft that the top part of the grip rests against your front forearm.
  2. Without a ball practice making pendulum swings back and through keeping the grip connected to your forearm.
  3. Once you develop the feel and are maintaining the grip against your forearm through the chip, practice chipping balls while staying connected.
  4. The Arm Your Club Drill will ensure that you are not getting wristy and are moving the club with the big muscles of your back, shoulders and core. This will lead to more consistent chip shots and fewer fat and thin chips.
