Swing Plane Track Drill

Description: The Swing Plane Track Drill helps you make sure you are keeping your swing on plane every time.

Summary:
  1. Just about everyone has seen players with driveway poles in their bag or on the ground out on the range. They are fantastic to use for swing plane and can be obtained for a couple bucks at your local hardware store.
  2. Take your address position. Then take a pole and put it just outside the head of your club and tilt it to match the plane of your club.
  3. Stick it in the ground about twelve inches back (away from the target)and make sure to avoid hitting it on the takeaway and downswing.
  4. At address, take another pole, place it underneath your club again on the same plane as your club.
  5. Place it about twelve inches forward (toward the target) and practice swinging over the top of it.
  6. You have just built yourself an inside out swing plane track to use. Practice the Swing Plane Track Drill and make sure to keep the ball in the same place and even tee it up if you start to dig a hole. You are well on your way to developing a consistent plane. Have fun!
