Question on Diagnosing Problems:

Is the PPGS swing any good?
--Michael C. from Staten Island, NY

Hi Michael. Thanks for writing MyGolfInstructor.com. I'm looking forward to helping you with your game.

For literally hundreds of years golfers have been trying to come up with the "perfect" or "easiest" way to swing a golf club. Method after method has popped up and very convincing instructors have sold the general public that their way is the best. I'm not saying that they didn't believe it was, but no method has ever proved to last or be great for all players. If it had, EVERYONE would be using it including the best tour players in the world. Yet, what you see is a vast variety of swing styles coming from a vast variety of body types and taught be hundreds of different instructors.

The Peak Performance Golf Swing in my opinion is no better or worse than any other method. It is great for some people and not so great for others. What matters is finding a swing that works for you and you alone. Whether that be a method like Stack and Tilt, One Plane Swing or Peak Performance or simply be a swing that is molded individually for you, you do not have to be locked into following someone's strict steps for a one size fits all swing.

The best course of action would be to send your swing in for analysis so I can see what your action looks like and then explain to you the parts of your swing that are ideal and those that need adjusting for ideal ball flight control and distance.

Thanks for the question and let me know if you have any others.
