Question on Driving:

My drive tends to go higher than required. I want more distance I have a Calaway Diablo 13.5 loft
--Joan M. from Port Orange, FL

Hi Joan. Thanks for writing MyGolfInstructor.com.

I'm assuming you mean that your driver goes higher than desired rather than "required". Right?

A 13.5 is definitely a higher lofted driver. You won't find many more than that. In fact, most 3 woods are either 13 or 15 degrees of loft. Is there a reason why you got one with so much loft if you didn't need to hit your tee shots higher?

I'd be happy to help you explore your swing and set up to see if there is another cause for the high shots, but I think first of all it makes sense for you to try some lower lofted drivers and see if that makes a difference.

Also, consider sending in a video of your swing for a swing analysis so I can take a better look at what is going on with your swing.

Give some different drivers a try and let me know how it goes.
