Question on Equipment:

How often should I change gloves?

Thanks for writing MyGolfInstructor.com.

That purely depends on the player. The only reason to change gloves is if they rip or get wet due to rain or perspiration.

I have played with golfers that change gloves almost non-stop throughout the round. They will typically bring 5 or 6 and rotate them to let them dry out. These are players who have particularly sweaty hands. It is always good to have a handful of gloves available in case you are playing in the rain .

As far as wear and tear goes, change your glove if it starts to get slick or is torn in any area. When you stretch your fingers out straight there should be no slack in the glove in your palm. If there is, it's time to change as your glove has gotten too roomy and the extra slack can allow some slipping.

Thanks for the question and let me know if you have any other questions.
