That is such a fun question. Homero Blancas shot a 55 in 1962. He eventually turned professional, but shot that score while he was an amateur. At the time of this writing, 5 players have posted a 59 in a PGA Tour event. Annika Sorenstam has the lowest on the LPGA with a 59 as well.
