Dynamic Hamstring Stretch


Description: Dynamic stretches simply mean stretches performed in motion rather than standing still. Hamstrings are used in every golf stance and swing and are particularly vulnerable to getting tight so stretching them before and after you play golf is a must. Hamstring stretches can be performed using nothing but your body, but using a towel or resistance band is also helpful.

Summary:
  1. Start off by standing up straight and erect with your feet a comfortable hip width. Hang your arms down by your side.
  2. Bend at the waist and reach down to touch your toes. Go down as far as you can. Wiggle your knees back and forth to keep your legs in motion. After you bend and straighten your knees a bit try to reach down further.
  3. Straighten back up into your standing position and repeat.
  4. Try starting with 3 sets of 5-6 repetitions to loosen up your hamstrings. If need be you can add more reps to your routine.
