Question on Hybrids and Woods:

When using a fairway wood off the tee should your arms be straight or slightly forward off ball? Do you play the ball in the middle or forward stance.
--Derek C.

Hi Derek.
Thanks for writing MyGolfInstructor.com. I'm excited to get to help you with your game.

Where your arms and hands hang in relation to the ball depends on ball position. In other words your arms and hands should be in the same position for every club. The ideal position is when your hands are positioned at the inside of your front thigh. If you are playing a driver and the ball is very far forward in your stance, that would make your hands be set behind the ball. If you are playing an iron in the middle of your stance, then your hands would be set ahead of the ball. Does that make sense?

Here is an article that may help too. If you have any other questions after reading just let me know.
