Question on Hybrids and Woods:

How many fairway woods do you recommend a golfer carry in their bag? With hybrids, I would think you could get away with just carrying a 3 wood?

Hybrids are designed mostly to replace mid to long irons, not necessarily fairway woods. Choosing clubs depends mostly on the individual and their game. For instance, a 2 iron might be replaced easily by a 2 hybrid or by a 5 wood. It really depends on how well and how far you hit each club. A general recommendation for most players would be:

*Play irons through a 6 iron
*The 5 iron can still be an iron or replaced by a 5 hybrid. I would tell you the hybrid will be easier and more consistent, but again, it depends on which you hit better and are more comfortable with.
*4 hybrid
*3 hybrid or 7 wood
* 5 wood, 3 wood and Driver

Again, this is just a general recommendation. You really need to experiment and see what fits your game and your yardages so you have an even gap between clubs and are comfortable with what you're hitting.
