Question on Practice:

Sometimes, I feel like I can over-practice and end up hitting too many balls causing myself to develop bad habits. Is this possible?

It's commonly called "ballitis". I remember the pros in the shop at the course where I practiced in high school and college yelling "Palozola you're going to get ballitis!" I believe at some point I did. You can get to the point where not only do you wear down your body, but your brain as well. As your body and brain fatigue you can easily slip into bad habits and get them grooved as you swing away at ball after ball. When we go out to play, we don't want to hit the ball 500 times on the golf course, right? So is practicing hitting 500 times on the range a good idea? Think about it. Wouldn't we be better served to practice say 68 shots every time we went to the practice tee and put 100% effort into each one?
