Question on Practice:

I find the last 4-5 holes are my worst. Is this a sign of lack of stamina or inability to close out a round? How can improve both?

This could definitely be mental, physical or both. First of all make sure you are hydrated. Most people do not drink enough while on the golf course and dehydration can definitely make your focus fuzzy. The same goes for proper nutrition. Eat every hour or so and while a hot dog, Coke and Snickers may make you feel good temporarily, you will crash later (if the indigestion doesn't kill you first). You are better off eating, granola, trail mix, fruit or other healthy snacks and stick to water or a sports drink if necessary. Make sure your fitness level is up to par (no pun intended). If you don't do any type of cardio/fitness training outside of golf, it may be difficult to come in strong at the end of a round. If you are fit and your nutrition is good, you may need to challenge yourself by setting small goals to keep your mind in the game.
