Question on Practice:

I hate going to the driving range. How can I make practice more fun?

The best thing to do is to challenge yourself. If you have a buddy to practice with you can certainly make bets on closest to the pin and such. Playing for a little bit of cash will help you focus.

When playing by yourself, try hitting a certain number of shots at a target before you move on to the next one. For instance, you could try to get 8 out of 10 shots within 10 yards of the flag and once you accomplish that move on to a further target. You should always try to work the ball as well. Maybe try fading 5 shots then drawing 5 etc.

What is really good practice and can keep you from getting bored is to play a round of golf from your favorite course on the range. Imagine you are on the first tee and try to shape your shot like you would on the course. Be sure to go through your entire pre-shot routine every time just like you would when playing. Your pre-shot routine should be practiced every time you are at the driving range. Continue hitting shots throughout the hole all the way to the last putt and then move to hole #2 etc.
