Question on Practice:

How can I swing the same, correct way every time?
--Tom M. from Elmira, NY

Hi Tom. Thanks for writing MyGolfInstructor.com. I'm looking forward to helping you with your game.

If we all had the answer to that we'd all be on tour making lots of money!!! No 2 swings are exactly the same and to repeat a swing or get close to it not only takes hundreds of hours hitting thousands of balls, but it also takes having great tempo and rhythm.

Dave Pelz came out a while back and said it took 10,000 repetitions to start to change a habit and 20,000 to lock it in. I'm not sure if that is 100% correct or would be necessarily for everyone, but you can see how much effort it takes to get your game where you want it to be.

I have attached a few articles on practice that may help you with your practice habits and add more consistency to your game.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks.
