Question on Practice:

How much time (practice and playing) does it usually take a beginner to be able to break 100 and 90?

Thanks for writing MyGolfInstructor.com.

Wow. That is a really good question and unfortunately one without a definitive answer. Every golfer is different talent-wise as well as mentally. If a golfer is very athletic and has a good mind for sports, he will progress a lot faster than someone who does not possess those qualities. I also believe whole heartedly that it has a lot to do with the golf instruction he or she receives. An experienced instructor will know how to pace the information given so that the student can progress quickly. Factors such as equipment, body function and attitude should also be considered. If I had to generalize it, I would say it is very possible for a golfer to break 100 in the first year and it would take about 3 years for most to break 90.

Thanks for the question and let me know if you have any others.
