Basket of Eggs Drill

Description: The Basket of Eggs Drill will help you develop better speed control on your putts, ensuring you hit all the putts of a given distance about the same speed, ensuring they end up in or close to the hole.

Summary:
  1. Take 10 balls and set up to a putt (the length of your choice).
  2. Putt all balls and try to make them gather together all touching each other. By being able to get all the balls to gather together, you are mastering your speed control on that particular putt length, ensuring you either make the putt or your misses end up close to the hole.
  3. Practice the Basket of Eggs Drill to develop a great feel for distance in your putts like the Tour Pros. One thing you will notice if you watch Tour Players warm up before an event is that when they miss their putts they all gather together. They don't leave one 4 feet short and then one 3 feet long etc. This is because they have such good feel for distance control. The balls all gather together (preferable a foot and a half beyond the hole) and form a basket. This drill will help you do the same.
