Question on Shot Making:

I hardly ever hit a straight shot It usually has some draw to it, so should I align myself based on expecting the draw to be there?

Thanks for writing MyGolfInstructor.com.

Most definitely. If you are pretty consistent with the amount of draw you have, you should be able to aim off-line just enough to bring it back into your target. Keep in mind that you should always aim your body where you want the ball to start. The curve of the ball will be determined mostly by the club face at impact.

Your only other option and the better one in my opinion is to make a swing correction so that you can straighten it out. Ideally you should be able to hit the ball relatively straight and then work it either direction you need to on demand.

If you have a strong tendency though, it will show up when things get tense and you are under pressure so don't try to fight what is natural to you in that case. You are better off just playing it.

Thanks for writing in and let me know if you have any other questions.
